Never Look Old to Me 2:480:00/2:48
As of right now there are over 322 million people living in the United States being fed by roughly 3.2 million farmers. While the population continues to grow, the number of farmers is in decline. Farming is a difficult profession, and as the generations age, there are fewer young people choosing to farm. Our nation, and the world, desperately needs farmers. In the coming months, we are going out to find the farmers who work to feed the families of this country and introduce them to you. It is our hope that this will be the beginning of a grass roots ground swell of encouragement to, and support for, our current farmers and the future farmers who have yet to plow their first field.
Whether your farm feeds your own family, or many families, we want to hear your stories. We want to know why YOU drive a tractor. And most of all, we want to be able to personally say THANK YOU to as many of you as we possibly can.
In conjunction with the community outreach work we are doing, I am releasing a new song called "Drive a Tractor" on April 8, 2016. Ten percent (10%) of the net proceeds from the sale of the song and my exclusive Drive a Tractor merchandise will be designated for scholarships for students pursuing a higher education in an agriculture related field. It is my hope that you will partner with me to help send our future farmers to college for the continued benefit of our hometowns, our states, our nation, and the world.
If you are a high school senior and are in need financial assistance for college, please visit the Drive a Tractor Project to learn more about how Drive a Tractor can help you.
As many of you may already know, I am a firm believer in buying products here at home and giving back to our local economies. For those of you who are just discovering me and my music for the first time, supporting American jobs is a priority for me and for the members of my team. When you purchase official Sara Morgan merchandise you are not only supporting the Drive a Tractor project, but you are also supporting American jobs, as all Sara Morgan merchandise is Made in the USA.
In preparation for the Drive a Tractor radio tour, which kicked off in Lawrence, Kansas on March 14, I am also traveling to the towns where the companies making the Drive a Tractor merchandise are located. I want to personally tell these men and women how sincerely thankful I am for their hard work and dedication to bringing us these quality Made in the USA products.
We are proud to give back to our nation's economy and proud to support our farmers!
